Joy to the World!

Wednesday, December 18, 2019
It's our final Little Red Wagon challenge of 2019 and Jan is hosting. She's chosen the theme "Happy Winter Holidays!" which is incredibly fitting given that faiths and cultures of many kinds are preparing to celebrate. We celebrate Christmas at our house. This year, we plan to be home for Christmas Day but then my daughter and I are heading on a New Year's cruise to Grand Cayman and Jamaica. We can’t wait for sun, sand and heat!!

I used my new MFT Little Town of Bethlehem die to create my card, topped on a starry inked background. The sentiment is heat embossed and I used a stamp from My Craft Spot.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own Winter holiday project!

I wish you all a joyous holiday season and, in the tradition and spirit of my family, Merry Christmas to each and every one of you!

Joy Hope Love Gift Bag

Wednesday, December 11, 2019
Doni is hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants to see "Bells Gone Wild". Doni is looking for bells of any sort - whether images, stencilled, embellishments, etc. And those bells can be Christmas bells, wedding bells, bells ringing in the new year, cow bells, bells on cat collars - just bells!

I used a Your Next Stamp die to create my little gift bag (Cute Little Shopping Bag) and then a few of the stamps from Clearly Besotted's Nativity Play set. This is the first time I've used a product from Clearly Besotted. I bought the stamp set as my sister gave me a little mouse nativity set years ago (in the photo background, although blurred) and I thought it would be perfect to make her a little mouse nativity bag to wrap a little necklace I bought her. I finished everything off with an emBELLishment!! My little bell actually rings too!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own Bells Gone Wild project!

To My Beastie

Wednesday, December 4, 2019
Our latest Little Red Wagon challenge is "Wrap It!". Imke is our Hostess and she'd like to see anything to do with gifts - from gift bags to gift card holders to homemade gift wrap to gift images. If there is any sort of present involved, we want to be inspired by it!

I made a fun card for my beastie (aka best friend or bestie). We have an ongoing joke between us in which we call each other yeti and I got this MFT Beast Friends stamp set a few years ago with her in mind. I coloured up a few of the gift images that come with the set.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the "Wrap It" projects designed by the Girlfriends - and then link up your own gift-inspired creation!

You Brrring Me Joy

Wednesday, November 27, 2019
The weather has been quite pleasant here - although we did have a nasty taste of winter a couple of weeks ago. The temperatures were low and we had a couple of dumpings of snow. My littlest (who's actually the youngest but biggest, standing 6'6"!) insists on wearing shorts and a t-shirt each day - and did so through the snow and cold. Meanwhile, I was wearing a down coat with boots, a hat, mitts and scarf when it was really cold. Anyway, all this is to introduce you to our latest challenge at Little Red Wagon - Snow Much Fun! All we ask this week is that there is something to do with snow somewhere on your project.

I used my Festive Friends stamp set from MFT to create my little snowy scene. A couple of years ago, I invested in the Brother Scan 'N Cut which has more than paid for itself and is so quick and easy to use. I rarely buy dies for my images anymore. Usually, there are no issues. However, I would have liked the space cut out between the antlers/lights and the reindeer's head and just couldn't get it to happen. It could be a big wad of snow though - so all's good!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the snowy creations - and then link up your own project! We can't wait to see what you create!

Happy Birthday to Roo

Wednesday, November 20, 2019
Brenda is hosting our newest Little Red Wagon and she's singing, "You say it's your birthday". As you have likely guessed, birthday projects are the theme of the week! Given that everybody has a birthday at least once a year (I say that as we celebrate half birthdays at our house - any excuse for another ice cream cake!), we hope to see lots of you joining in the fun!

My sister celebrates her special day next month. We have a private joke between us that we always end our correspondence with words beginning with the letter "R". For example, instead of "See you soon!", we would write, "Ree rou roon!". "Love you" becomes "Rove rou!". Anyway, when I saw the MFT Aussie Animals sentiment "Happy birthday to roo", it was too good to pass up!

Please visit Little Red Wagon to check out the birthday projects created by the Girlfriends - and then make and link up your own birthday creation!

I Come Bearing Gifts

Wednesday, November 13, 2019
Jan is hosting our newest challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's saying, "Don't be shy!" In other words, speak out with more than two words on your creation.

My new Ho Ho Ho background stamp from MFT came in very handy for this challenge. I didn't count the number of times "HO" is repeated, but I'm sure it's more than two! I also made sure that there were more than two words in my sentiment, just to be on the safe side!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see all the wordy sentiments used by the Girlfriends for this week's challenge - and then don't be shy! Join us by linking up your own project using more than two words on your creation.

G'Day Mate

Wednesday, November 6, 2019
It's Doni's turn to host at Little Red Wagon and she's chosen the theme "Let's Talk Turkey" for this week's challenge. Doni would like to see speech bubbles on our creations!

I used a stamps from My Favorite Things' Aussie Animals set. I realized after looking at my photo that the tree seems to be dangling in space so I'm pretending that the koala is actually on a pogo stick with leaves. The speech bubble frame is a die from My Craft Spot.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out all the speech bubbles and what the Girlfriends have to say! And then link up your own speech bubble project!

Have a Spook-tacular Halloween

Wednesday, October 30, 2019
Imke is hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and she's saying, "Scary It"! With Halloween being celebrated tomorrow, this is the perfect time to show off your scary Halloween creations.

I'm not sure whether or not my mummy (from Your Next Stamp) qualifies as scary as I think he's kind of cute. However, I might not think so if I stumbled across him late at night. And although I don't mind bats, I would be rather frightened if the night sky was full of them!

Please head to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the scary projects - and then link up your own to join in on this week's fun!

I've Been Moose-ing You

Wednesday, October 23, 2019
I'm thrilled to be hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon. I've chosen the theme "Don't forget about me" and am looking to see any sort of farewell, bon voyage, missing you, happy retirement, good luck with your move, see you later, etc. type creations.

I used MFT's Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set for my card. I missed out on buying the stamp set when it was first released and had to wait - which was tough as I had fallen in love with the moose image! It finally came available and I'm happy the moose has joined my family.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Don't forget about me" project! I can't wait to see what you create!

With Love From Owl of Us

Wednesday, October 16, 2019
Happy belated "Bring your teddy bear to work" day! Apparently, the second Wednesday of October was the day the world was supposed to carry teddies to work. Who knew? Well, Brenda did - and that's why she she wants to see bears on our projects this week for our latest Little Red Wagon challenge.

I used Wild Woodland from My Favorite Things to create the little scene on my card. My mum is having a birthday next week and I created this card for her.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the bears used creatively by the Girlfriends - and then link up your own project for this week's challenge!

Wishing You a Harvest of Blessings

Wednesday, October 9, 2019
Jan is our hostess at Little Red Wagon and she wants us to all "Cut It Out!" This doesn't mean she wants us to stop crafting. Rather, she's looking for projects with die cuts or fussy cutting - or any other sort of cuts!

I used wagon and pumpkin dies from My Craft Spot to create my little scene. The sentiment is one from My Favorite Things and the mat/frame were cut from a Mama Elephant set.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then cut out your own images to create something for this week's challenge!

Sending Happy Birthday Vibes

Monday, October 7, 2019
I’ve been wanting to participate in a My Favorite Things challenge for a while and finally created some “me” time in order to do so! I created my card using number of MFT products - including stamps, dies and papers.

I'm entering my card in the challenge for Sketch #457.

I'm So Thankful for You

Wednesday, October 2, 2019
Everything is pumpkin over at Little Red Wagon this week. Doni is our hostess and she's looking to see lots of pumpkins for this week's challenge.

I used stamps from Gerda Steiner's Fall Mice set to create my happy little card. I used my Copic marker to colour the orange mat to match the pumpkins. I should do that more often!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own pumpkin projects!

(I'm linking this up with Gerda Steiner's Share Your Designs October Challenge.)

Faith, Family, Friends

Wednesday, September 25, 2019
It's Imke's turn to host at Little Red Wagon this week and she's chosen the theme "Fall It!" This means that Imke would like to see fall-themed projects - from fall leaves to pumpkins to bushels of apples to acorns and beyond. If it's got something to do with fall, it's good to link up at LRW!

I pulled out some autumn-coloured distress inks to create a background and then layered a sentiment and leaves created with supplies from My Craft Spot. The embossed sentiment is a bit tricky to read in the photo. It says, "Faith, Family, Friends - for these we give thanks".

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own fall-themed creations!
5

I Pick You

Wednesday, September 18, 2019
I'm so happy to be hosting this week's Little Red Wagon challenge. I've chosen the theme "Apples and Bananas" which basically means that I'm looking for fruit of any kind on your projects.

I pulled out my Harvest Mouse stamp set (which is one of the first stamp sets I ever purchased) to create my little scene. The little mouse is one of my all-time favourite images. He's just so sweet! I didn't realize until I looked at my photo that I seem to have used two different shades of red for the oval frame and mat. Oh well!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own fruit-themed project!

Prayers and Love

Wednesday, September 11, 2019
Brenda is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she has chosen the theme "In Memorium". Brenda is looking for creations of all types that remember lost loved ones in some way - from sympathy cards to memorial journals to scrapbook memory pages.

I decided to create sympathy cards - two! Unfortunately, a friend's father is quite ill and not expected to live much longer. The family has been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be. I created these cards for my friend and his mother using stamps from Hero Arts and from Studio Katia. The stamped flowers are all covered with Wink of Stella too - although it's difficult to see that in the photos.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the creations made by the rest of the design team. We'd love to have you link up your own "In Memorium" projects too!

Feel Better

Wednesday, September 4, 2019
Jan is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's looking for "Nice and Clean" projects.

Jan doesn't necessarily mean that our cards/projects need to be simple, although I decided to go ultra simple on my card. In fact, I think that this is the fastest card I've ever made! This gave me more time for all the back to school prep that went on over the weekend - and that included simply having fun with my family!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the "Nice and Clean" projects - and then create and link up one of your own!

We're a Perfect Pair

Wednesday, August 28, 2019
Happy Wednesday! The days are starting to get a bit cooler here. It's been quite nice for being outside and getting things done without working up a total sweat!

Wednesday means a new challenge at Little Red Wagon. Before her injury, Doni chose the challenge "Foodie!" She'd like to see creations with food highlighted in some way, shape or form. I used an image that I've had for quite some time as the focal point of my card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the team has make - and then create your own food-themed project!

Cat Tags

Wednesday, August 21, 2019
Imke is our hostess at Little Red Wagon and she's saying "Tag it!" - which is her way of asking us to create tags.

My baby is turning 17 on Friday - and is 6'6" so not really a baby anymore! He loves his cat, Skimble, and I created a few tags to attach to some of his gifts. The cats are coloured to look like Skimble.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the Girlfriends' incredible tags - and then create and link up your own. We can't wait to see what you make!

The Time You Enjoy Wasting

Wednesday, August 14, 2019
I'm so excited to be this week's hostess at Little Red Wagon. I've chosen the theme "I'd like to teach the world to sing" - which basically means I'd like you to be inspired by music/songs as you create.

I almost always have music playing, and especially love 80s music. I used Whitesnake's Here I Go Again as inspiration for my card. The first verse sings:

I don't know where I'm going
But I sure know where I've been
Hanging on the promises in songs of yesterday
And I've made up my mind
I ain't wasting no more time

This song was a favourite that my husband and I always cranked up and sang to when it came on the radio (or when we just played it ourselves). My former vehicle had a decal with the song's first two lines that I designed and cut with my Silhouette.

It's difficult to read the gold-embossed sentiment. It says, "The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time."

Here's the song for you! Gotta love that hair!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created. And then turn on the radio or YouTube or get out your old vinyls and let a song inspire you to create!

Look Who's Having a Birthday

Wednesday, August 7, 2019
We're having a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and Brenda is leading the way this week. Apparently, it's National Book Lovers' Day (who knew?!) so Brenda is looking for a focus on words.

I just purchased a Kobo in order to purchase and read the story of E.B. White and how he was inspired to write Charlotte's Web, which was one of (and still is one of) my favourite childhood stories. I read the book so many times when I was young - and then read it to my own children! I thought the take on the book would be a fitting take on words, given that Charlotte was able to spin words into her webs. For my card though, Wilbur and Charlotte are focusing on the newspaper - a source of a great many words!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends' have created - and then link up your own project focusing on words!

You're Fantastic!

Wednesday, July 31, 2019
Jan is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's looking for us to use digital stamps. While I have used digital stamps in the past, they've been few and far between so I was initially at a bit of a loss as to where to begin my search. My dear friend, Google, helped me out immensely and I ended up at Bugaboo stamps purchasing Doodle Dogs Collage.

Our student staff member will be leaving us at the end of the summer so I made this card for her. I coloured each of the six dogs in the collage to correspond with the hair and eye colours of the rest of the team. Our student staff member loves pink, so she's the super dog dressed in a sparkly pink cape! The super dog is from a MFT's stamp set, appropriately named Super Dog. (I used another one of the Super Dog stamps for last week's project.) The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps Amazing stamp set.

Please hunt the internet for your own digistamps to create a project for this week's Little Red Wagon challenge. Although I ended up purchasing mine (for a great price!), I noticed lots of freebies out there too!

PS In case any of you are wondering, I'm the dog in the top middle frame, hanging upside down with a green collar!

Super Dog

Wednesday, July 24, 2019
It's Doni's turn to host our latest Little Red Wagon challenge and she's all about these "Dog Days of Summer". Doni is looking for dogs of any kind on our projects. This was a great opportunity for me to use my Super Dog stamp set. I have to admit that I totally and completely stole the design idea for my card from the MFT store website. I loved the look of the card inspiration when I purchased the Super Dog stamp set and City Block die so decided to mimic things for myself!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the Girlfriends' dog projects - and then create one of your own to link up!

Life is Better in Flip Flops

Wednesday, July 17, 2019
Imke is hosting our newest challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's asking us to "Stitch it"! This means that she'd like to see any sort of stitching on your projects - from needle and thread to stitched dies to faux stitching with pens.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to use a cross-stitch die that I purchased two Christmases ago and never quite got around to using. It's an MFT die and the site has a number of patterns available for download. I mixed the stitched palm tree with some die cuts and a sentiment from Your Next Stamp.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then join in the "Stitch it!" fun!

Merry Christmas!

Wednesday, July 10, 2019
We arrived home safely from our Baltic Sea cruise and I am so, so tired!! We had an absolutely amazing time. I was able to purchase a few new nativity sets - which seems strange in July, but I collect nativity sets and am thrilled that I was able to get some unique ones from different countries, including a Russian nesting doll nativity which I love!

I'm the hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and have chosen the theme "It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas". I made my card using a never-before-used-but-purchased-a-few-years-ago stamp set. I heat embossed the tree and added some red gemstones to it as well.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to like up your own Christmas creation. I can't wait to see what you create!

Graduation Card

Wednesday, July 3, 2019
Greetings from the Baltic Sea! We’re cruising today as we journey from Stockholm to Copenhagen. This is another pre-scheduled post.

It’s time for another Little Red Wagon challenge! This time, Brenda is our hostess and she’s wishing us all a Happy Repeat Day. Brenda would like us to use repeated elements on our creations. I repeated the circle elements - adding round sequins to complement the circles on my paper.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own projects with repeated elements.

I Ruff You

Wednesday, June 26, 2019
Greetings from Skagen, Denmark! I had a busy time crafting and pre-scheduling my posts prior to departure so hope that all is working as it should!

Jan is our hostess this week at Little Red Wagon and she’s looking for “Much ado about nothing”. We all have fun preparing our cards and projects for special occasions. Jan is looking for projects meant for no special occasion. I created my “Ruff you” card for any day!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own for-no-special-occasion creation!

Wishing You all the Best

Wednesday, June 19, 2019
Argh! I'm so sorry that my post is late. I was a bit late taking the photo of my card and then not happy so waited until this morning - but my day was too full of other fun festivities (as it's my birthday!) so it wasn't until my guests left that I've been able to finish things up.

Doni is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's looking for summer fun projects! We love to go camping. Although we used to have a trailer, we tent it now. Still, I loved the look of the little camper trailer and opted to put it to use for my summer fun card! The stamps used for my card are all part of a free stamp set that came with a papercrafting magazine.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Girlfriends' creations - and then link up your own "Summer Fun" project!

I'm also linking up my card for this week's Simon Says Stamp's Travel/Vacation challenge.

I Would Cross an Ocean for You

Wednesday, June 12, 2019
It's time for our latest Little Red Wagon challenge. Imke is hosting and she's asking us to "Sea It!" - meaning that she'd like us to create anything to do with the sea or ocean!

I created my card using stamps from My Favorite Things. I especially like this fun sentiment as I'll be crossing the ocean in a couple of weeks. My children and I will be heading out on a Baltic Sea cruise. We're quite excited!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then "sea" what you can come up with for this week's challenge!

Welcome Little One

Wednesday, June 5, 2019
I'm happy to be hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and I've chosen the theme "Welcome to the World!" I'm looking for projects that celebrate a birth of any kind.

I decided to make a card to celebrate the birth of a baby girl - even though I have nobody specific in mind! By the time we got to the challenge, I had no recollection of why I chose the theme. Oh well! It's always nice to have extra cards in my stash to give when there's no time to create!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Welcome to the World" project.

Wired 4 U

Wednesday, May 29, 2019
Happy Learn About Composting Day and Red T-Shirt Day!!

First of all, beginning in 2017, National AccessAbility Week was established to promote diversity, inclusion and accessibility in Canada. Red T-Shirt Day is part of the week. As many of you know, my youngest son has autism. His favourite colour is red and he typically wears a red t-shirt every day anyway! On the other hand, I have a limited supply of red t-shirts but am sporting one today. I also work in Student Accessibility Services at Trent University and our team is all wearing red t-shirts today as well.

As for Learn About Composting, that's the inspiration for our Little Red Wagon challenge of the week. I didn't even know that such a day existed! Brenda is our hostess, and she is challenging us to recycle or upcycle on our projects. I recently had a new ceiling fan installed in our family room and used some of the extra wire for my project.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Girlfriends' creations - and then recycle or upcycle something around your own house as you make something new!

I'm also linking up my card in this week's Simon Says Stamp's Anything Goes challenge.

How Kind of You

Wednesday, May 22, 2019
I recently purchased Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine which came with some Altenew daffodil dies. They're perfect for this week's Little Red Wagon challenge. Jan's our hostess and she's organizing a "Flower Frenzy". This means that she'd like to see flowers of any kind on our creations - from one flower to a huge bouquet!

A colleague knows how much I love daffodils and she recently picked a bunch from her garden for me to have in my office. I made this card to thank her for thinking of me and for sharing her daffs with me.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Girlfriends' "Flower Frenzy" creations - and then link up your own flower-themed project!

Birthday Tweetings

Wednesday, May 15, 2019
Doni is this week's hostess at Little Red Wagon and she's saying "Happy Bird-day". This is Doni's way of asking us to create birthday projects with birds!

I pulled out a stamp set from Reverse Confetti to create my bright card. And, after success with last week's sketch, I went online to find a sketch to use which sped things up during the creation process.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the bird-day projects - and then create and link up one of your own!

I'm entering my card in Simon Says Stamp's Stitches challenge.

Happy Mother's Day

Wednesday, May 8, 2019
It's Wednesday and we're finally seeing a bit of sun here! In fact, when I got home from yesterday, I noticed that my first daffodil of the season had bloomed. As daffs are my favourite flower, I was so excited to see it!!

Imke is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's got a sketch for us! I used the sketch to make a Mother's Day card for my mum. Here in Canada, we celebrate Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May each year - which is this coming Sunday! Mum loves daffs almost as much as I do so I used a daffodil stamp as the focal point on my creation.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see how the rest of the Girlfriends have been inspired by Imke's sketch. And then pull out your own crafting supplies to use the sketch to inspire your creation!

I'm also entering my card in Simon Says Stamp's For a Special Lady challenge.

What Makes You Different

Wednesday, May 1, 2019
Happy May! It's still be rather chilly here in Central Ontario. In fact, there were snow flurries when I went out to get some groceries on Monday evening! I'm ready for spring and hope it's just around the corner.

I'm thrilled to be hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and I've chosen the theme "Black and White Buddies". I'm looking for animals that are black and white - whether it be the traditional pandas, penguins and zebras - or any other animal that's coloured black and white, such as cats, dogs, mice, etc.

I recently took advantage of the retirement sale at My Favorite Things and purchased some old and new products. I used a few of them on my card!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Black and White Buddies" project!

Hello Gorgeous

Wednesday, April 24, 2019
It's Brenda's turn to host at Little Red Wagon and she's saying "Everything Coming Up..." (use use some kind of flora: cacti, plants, flowers, trees, fruit, etc.).

I used Simon Says Stamp's Wild Beauty stamp set to create my card. I got the idea of using sequins to ground my flowers from Pinterest. I actually made this card twice as the first time, there was a little smudge that I tried to hide and ended up making a huge mess! Anyway, I switched up the position of the little sentiment and like the updated version much better - so it all worked out in the end.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then make and link your own "Everything Coming Up" project.

I'm also linking up my card in this week's Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

Airplane Thanks

Wednesday, April 17, 2019
It's already Wednesday AND it's a short week! I'm away at a training in Toronto this week so time is flying by.

Jan is our Little Red Hostess and she wants us to "Look Up, Way Up". Jan is looking for projects featuring things in the air - from birds and butterflies to balloons and planes. If you look up and see it, you can use it on your project for this week's challenge!

I'm taking the children on a Baltic Sea cruise in June and we'll be flying KLM to get to Amsterdam. I made these cards to give the flight crew to thank them for getting us to and from The Netherlands safely! I chose the colours based on KLM's colours.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Look up, Way up" project!

Make Mudpies

Wednesday, April 10, 2019
It's time for the latest Little Red Wagon challenge and I'm delighted to let you all know that our new Girlfriend, Doni, is hosting this week! She's chosen the theme April Showers and would like to see anything to do with water or rain. This could be the theme of your creation or it could involve water as part of the technique you've used.

I chose to use a Hero Arts rain/spring stamp that I won in a Simon Says Stamp grab bag ages ago and never used. The rain cloud paper was from my stash from years ago and I also added some raindrop gems that I've never used before! The stamps are from a Reverse Confetti set. I'd actually ordered some little duckling stamps for the challenge but they seem to be having fun with border customs so I don't yet have them!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to "meet" Doni - and then link up your own April Showers creation!

Our Friendship is Magical

Wednesday, April 3, 2019
Imke is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she is challenging us to "Shake It!". Imke would like to see us create shaker cards (or another project with shakers).

I used some magical stamps from My Favorite Things to create a card for a dear friend of mine who celebrates a birthday later this month.

Please create your own shaker and join the fun at Little Red Wagon!

Happy Easter Treat Bags

Wednesday, March 27, 2019
I'm thrilled to be hosting at Little Red Wagon this week. I've chosen the theme "Hop to it!" and am looking for anything that hops.

For my project, I created a couple of Easter treat bags with bunny toppers. I'll have to make another though as I have three kids.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out what the rest of the Girlfriends have created and then link up your own "Hop to it!" project.

It's Your Birthday - Have a Blast!

Wednesday, March 20, 2019
Happy Extraterrestrial Abductions Day! I didn't even know that there was such a thing but Brenda, this week's hostess at Little Red Wagon told us it is and I have no reason to doubt her. To celebrate the day, Brenda is looking for space projects. You can include an alien or extraterrestrial - or create anything with a space theme!

I used some products from Your Next Stamp for my rocket-through-space birthday card. It's for a little guy who's turning 10 so I used some mini number stamps to add his age to the spaceship.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link your own ET/space creation!

Thanks So Much

This week's Little Red Wagon challenge is being hosted by Jan again - and she's got another fun one for us: Boyz II Men! Jan wants to see anything masculine.

I pulled out a stamp set from Mama Elephant that I've not used in ages to create my thank you card. In fact, I decided to make two - one to say thanks and one for a birthday!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then add your own masculine project!

This Stinks.

Jan is hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and she's looking for lions and lambs - and any other creature that one might find outdoors. Although we love our pets, we don't want to see them this week.

Looking through my stamps, I thought that nothing says "outdoor animal" like a skunk! Although I've heard that some people get them de-stinkified and bring them indoors to love, I've never seen one anywhere other than outdoors so decided to go with the black and white critter for my project.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then join the fun with a project using an outdoor animal!

Sending You a Smile on Your Birthday

Wednesday, February 27, 2019
Imke is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's saying "Love It!" She wants us to create projects with anything to do with love - whether it's the word "love" in the sentiment, a technique we love, a creation for somebody we love, etc., etc.!! We're hoping that lots of you will join in the fun!

I love cats - so I decided to create a card with a cat theme. The cats on the card are coloured in the liking of my own three cats (although the centre one should really be black). I also love my aunty who will soon be celebrating her birthday and made this card for her. I used my Scan 'N Cut to cut the images - and I do love my Scan 'N Cut! It's paid for itself with the money I've saved not buying dies for all my images.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Love It" projects!!

You are Pawsome

Wednesday, February 20, 2019
Happy Wednesday! I'm thrilled to be hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and I've chosen the theme, "Baby, it's cold outside!" Although I am not a fan of winter and the cold, I'm looking for projects that celebrate winter and all it has to offer.

I decided to create a little skating scene for my card. I don't think I stirred my Gesso quite well enough as it was a bit too liquidy when I created my stenciled snowy background - but I rather like the look of the larger flakes. I learned this year that snowflakes are larger when the temperatures are closer to 0 degrees - and I'm all about rising temperatures!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then join the fun by linking your own winter-themed project. I can't wait to see what you create!

You are Space-cial

Brenda is hosing at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants us to "Move on". No, this does not mean that she wants us to go to different blogs or switch from crafting hobbies to something else. She simply wants to see movement of some sort on our creations - from spinners, wobbles, googly eyes, pull tabs, pop-ups, and so on!

I did double-duty with my card and used an Action Wobble for my little spaceship and googly eyes to dress up my alien. The fun little stamp and sentiment are from Your Next Stamp.

Please move on to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the girlfriends have created - and then create your own movement project!

I've Never Met a Cupcake I Didn't Like

Jan's hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and she's calling out "Hello, Sweetie"! She's challenging us to anything sweet on our projects - from a sweet treat to something that makes us think "Oh! That's so sweet!" to the word sweet itself.

I must have been a bit hungry when I decided on my take for the challenge and went with a sweet treat.

Please check out the rest of the projects at Little Red Wagon and then link up your own sweet creation!

Welcome Little One

Wednesday, January 30, 2019
Heather is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's chosen the theme "Winter Blues" - which seems quite fitting given the cold and snowy weather that we've been having in Central Ontario. I was made for sun, sand and palm trees so am not overly impressed!! However, the nasty weather is a wonderful excuse to hibernate in my craft room to create a card with shades of blue.

I decided to think happy thoughts and created a welcome card for a baby boy! I used my Zig watercolour markers, water and a paintbrush to create my striped background before adding some stenciled hearts. I also painted the frame using the blue used for my middle stripe. A sweet little hedgehog, sentiment and little heart embellishments finished things off.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then chase the winter blues away by creating something blue!!
