Welcome Little One

Heather is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's chosen the theme "Winter Blues" - which seems quite fitting given the cold and snowy weather that we've been having in Central Ontario. I was made for sun, sand and palm trees so am not overly impressed!! However, the nasty weather is a wonderful excuse to hibernate in my craft room to create a card with shades of blue.

I decided to think happy thoughts and created a welcome card for a baby boy! I used my Zig watercolour markers, water and a paintbrush to create my striped background before adding some stenciled hearts. I also painted the frame using the blue used for my middle stripe. A sweet little hedgehog, sentiment and little heart embellishments finished things off.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then chase the winter blues away by creating something blue!!

Imke is telling us to "Stick it!" this week at Little Red Wagon. She wants to see washi tape on our projects.

A couple of years ago, I got some lovely Paris-themed washi tape which has been sitting in its tin since! Imke's challenge theme was the perfect opportunity to bring it out and put it to use. My card was an easy one to put together as the flower is pre-made and came as part of a grab bag that I won at Simon Says Stamp.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the girlfriends have created - and then pull out your washi tape to join the fun with us!

I Fancy You

It's time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and I'm thrilled to be hosting this week! I've chosen the theme "Time Will Tell" and am looking for anything to do with time - clocks, watches, calendars, etc.

I used MFT's Happy Hello to create my card with a little version of Big Ben in the background. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I opted to use the opportunity to create a card for the occasion. As my kids are all born in August, we always celebrate half-birthdays on Valentine's Day so I've got extra incentive to create for that!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Time Will Tell" projects. I can't wait to see what you make!

Thanks

Mahalo Nui Loa! I had no idea what that meant (although I have heard "Mahalo" before) and fortunately, Brenda translated it for the Girlfriends at Little Red Wagon. "Mahalo Nui Loa!" means "Thank you very much!" in Hawaiian - which is appropriate given that Brenda lives in Hawaii. She's our hostess this week and wants to see thank you cards.

I pulled out a "Thanks" border die that I've only used once before and have had for a few years. I'm going to make an effort this year to use more of my older products instead of buying new. That said, I do have my eye on a few new things too...

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the other Girlfriends' projects - and then link up your own Mahalo Nui Loa! creation!

You're Snow Cool

Saturday, January 5, 2019
Happy New Year!!! Last Wednesday was the start of this year's challenges at Little Red Wagon. Unfortunately, my brain was (and is!) still on holiday and I thought we were starting up again next week. Oops! Anyway, here is my project just a few days late. Sorry everybody!!

Janice is our Hostess and she's calling out, "Hey, Newbie!". Janice would like to see anything new on your projects - new products, new techniques, celebration of something new, etc. I recently saw a card in which torn paper was used with some inking to create snow hills. I decided to try out that technique to make the ski slopes on my card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to add your "new" creation!
