Congratulations

Wednesday, March 10, 2021
Happy Wednesday! I'm thrilled to be hosting this week's Little Red Wagon challenge. In keeping with my 80s rock-themed challenges this year, the challenge for this week is "You Spin Me Round". Basically, I'm looking for circles of any kind - from circle-shaped cards, circled patterned paper, circle embellishments, circular frames, etc.

One of my colleagues recently gave birth to a baby girl so I made this card to offer my congratulations. I used a layered stencil set to ink all the circles. I also used a NBUS round "Congratulations" die that I received free with a MFT purchase a couple of years ago. And the sweet little donkey is from a Your Next Stamp set.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "You Spin Me Round" project!

Welcome Little One

Wednesday, May 3, 2017
It's time to celebrate at Little Red Wagon this week. Mandy is our hostess, and she's looking for celebration-themed projects of any kind. My son's girlfriend became an aunt for the first time last week as her older sister gave birth to a beautiful baby boy. Definitely something to celebrate!!

I just love the sweet critters from Your Next Stamp's Stacked with Fun set. I'd used the monkey a few weeks ago on the baby shower card I made for Kaitlyn's sister and used the elephant from the same set for this card.

I used some texture paste and Peacock Feather ink with a Simon Says Stamp stencil for the hearts along the left side of my card. I added them to follow the current Your Next Stamp Sketch Challenge (Challenge #63) and I love the way they look!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created and link up your own celebration-themed project!

The sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Bundle of Love stamp set and is no longer available.

Have you had a chance to play along in the latest sketch and/or colour challenge at Your Next Stamp? There's still a week to play for your chance to win a gift certificate to the YNS store.

I recently attended a baby shower for my son's girlfriend's sister and made this sweet card to pop in the gift bag. I had so much fun putting this together! I started by smooshing some ink on the Cool Tag Four tag and then splattered some more drops of ink. I used the Lots of Dots Edge stamp - twice - on my mat, once with VersaMark and again with Tumbled Glass distress ink.

The sweet little monkey and sentiment are from Stacked with Fun. I popped the tag on my card after adding some crinkle ribbon and jute string to finish it off.

I've linked up my card at this month's CropStop challenge too!

The crinkle ribbon and jute string are retired products from My Craft Spot.
