There's Nothing Foxier

Wednesday, January 29, 2020
"Ah man!" is this week's theme for our latest Little Red Wagon challenge. Jan is our hostess and it's not so much that she's upset that something unfortunate happened as she's asking to see our masculine projects.

For me, masculine projects mean clean and simple - so that's what I did. I decided to use the sentiment that I did as I remember always trying to get my husband to wear a nice sweater. He preferred shirts for work and t-shirts for home - but I told him he looked quite handsome when he would wear a sweater. He would have laughed at this card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what masculine projects the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then make and link your own project for the challenge!

You Deserve a Break

Wednesday, January 22, 2020
It's Doni's turn to host our Little Red Wagon this week, and she's saying "Books!" Doni would like us to share projects that have anything to do with books or reading - so newspapers, magazines, comfy reading chairs, reading glasses, bookmarks, etc!

I made a little gift card holder card to hold a gift card for our local bookstore. I used images from Your Nest Stamp's "Me Time" for the little bookshelf and plant and a sentiment from My Favorite Things.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then create and link your own "Books!" project!

Joy, Love, Peace

Wednesday, January 15, 2020
It's Imke's turn to host at Little Red Wagon and she's saying, "After Christmas is Before Christmas" - which is so true! I'm a firm believer in starting early. In fact, on Monday I placed an order for some family stocking stuffers. I typically start my Christmas shopping in January. Sometimes, I forget what I've purchased though. Last year, I ended up keeping some of the stocking stuffers aside and I'll give them next Christmas! Anyway, I'm typically not as good about getting a head start when it comes to Christmas cards so I'm thankful to Imke for this challenge as I have now created my first Christmas card of 2020!

I used a Joy, Love, Peace die that I had purchased prior to Christmas but never used. I wanted to add a bit more to the card and found some nativity buttons that I've had for years. I trimmed the backs so they'd lie a bit more flat and think the Holy Family goes quite well on my card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then start your own Christmas 2020 preparations and sharing what you've made!

Cake Box

Wednesday, January 8, 2020
I'm hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and am using a project of mine from eight years ago - January 2012! Basically, I messed up my own chosen themes and created a card that does not fit the "Have Your Cake and Eat It Too" theme in which I'd like to see any and all sorts of baked goods! I must have looked back at the last challenge I hosted which was "Snow Much Fun" as I thought that was this week's challenge. Anyway, my apologies and I hope you enjoy my blast from the past!

And here's the project I did create!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own baked goods themed projects! I can't wait to see what you create!

Hippo 100th Birdie

Wednesday, January 1, 2020
Happy New Year and greetings from the Grand Cayman Islands! My daughter and I are taking a New Year's cruise to Grand Cayman and Jamaica. Although the temperatures were mild for Christmas, it's still a treat to get away to sun and sand!

Brenda is hosting our first Little Red Wagon challenge of 2020 and she's saying "In with the old" - which seems opposite to what we usually say as we welcome in a new year. However, what Brenda is actually saying is that she'd like us to create a project using something that we've never used before. Perhaps it's something you've had for ages or perhaps it's something that you've recently acquired. Whatever it is, this challenge is the perfect time to put it to use.

I used a My Favorite Things stripes die that I've had for a couple of months but haven't yet put to work. I used it to create a background on some "smooshed" inked watercolour paper. I did the smooshing ages ago and kept the paper although never used it. I then used s stamp set from Lawn Fawn (which I have used in the past) and added the age.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created with their Never Before Used Stuff (NBUS) and then take advantage of the challenge to work with your NBUS!
