The Earth Laughs in Flowers

Wednesday, August 19, 2026
Our wonderful Imke is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon. She continues her way through the alphabet and has arrived at the letter Q - Q for Quote!

I knew the quote I wanted to use and I was going to cut out some sunflowers. However, I ended up asking AI to generate the quote with some sunflowers and then coloured them in. I had a much-needed relaxing time colouring. Life has been very good. Just busy and it was good to take some time for myself.

How will you interpret Q is for Quote? For more inspiration, head to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have made. We would love for you to link a project too!

Here's the black and white image, for anybody who is interested. I imported it into Canva and resized it there.

Let's Make Some Memories

Wednesday, August 12, 2026
I'm exited to have my turn hosting at Little Red Wagon again this week. I'm still working my way through Billy Joel hits and this time, I'm listening to "We Didn't Start the Fire" for inspiration. I'm challenging crafters to make something related to history/memories or to go a more literal route and include some form of fire on projects such as cards, journaling pages, scrapbook pages, gift bags, tags, etc. You could even use fire to create burned edges on your paper. So many possibilities!

I went the literal route and created a card celebrating a campfire with roasted marshmallows. John and I are camping at Presqu'ile Provincial Park along Lake Ontario this week and I'm sure there will be some campfires with roasted marshmallows and s'mores. I made this card to give John upon our arrival using stamps from the Happy Campers stamp set from My Favorite Things.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the projects created by the rest of the design team. I'd love for you to join the challenge too!

Happy Birthday to YOUUUU!

Wednesday, August 5, 2026
Our wonderful Brenda is hosting over at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants to see a “card plus”, with plus referring to an envelope. She has given us the choice to either make our own envelope or decorate one that we already have.

I chose to decorate a premade envelope using the same little images I stamped on my card. The images and sentiment are from a My Favorite Things set. The wonky dies are a generic set introduced to me by my talented friend, Shani. I embossed the back mat with an ancient Cuttlebug folder.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the envelopes made and/or decorated by the rest of the Girlfriends. We would love for you to join our challenge as well!
