I used some stamps from Mint Owl Studio (which is no longer in business), a frame from Your Next Stamp and stencils from Simon Says Stamp to create my card. The ice cream tops are covered with some Wink of Stella for some sparkly fun.
When my daughter was a toddler, she thoroughly enjoyed peeling wallpaper off our walls. If we were redecorating, this would have been a wonderful help. But that was not the case. Erin also thoroughly enjoyed ice cream. In fact, it was a favourite. At our wits end with what to do about Erin peeling the wallpaper, a friend suggested that Erin be denied ice cream the next time she was caught. And so, when the inevitable occurred, my husband and I had ice cream for dessert and Erin was not permitted to have any. Oh! The tears! And the ice cream tasted like sawdust to Ralph and me given Erin's devastation. We felt cruel... However, Erin never peeled wallpaper again. Drawing on walls was another story though!!
Please head over to Little Red Wagon to join our ice cream fun. We can't wait to see what you create!

Love your sherbet colored ice cream cones...and the sentiment is perfect! Oh, and poor baby Erin, hopefully she has grown up without any ice cream induced emotional scars!! lol
Your ice cream cones are just wonderful, love the pretty mix of colours. As for the story, I admire you and can feel the horror inside of you both while you did it. We all have to learn in some ways, don't we?

Wonderful card, Kate! I totally lol at the sentiment. Very true!
That must have been the hardest ice cream you ever had to eat. At least it had the desired effect. It would have been awful if all of you went through that and she continued to peel wallpaper.
Fun card and i like your use of the stencils !

Love your sweet card. I'm going to be on the lookout for sparkly ice cream, I'm not sure it would make it taste any better, but it certainly would be even prettier. Your story is one that is so much easier in the telling than the doing. Thanks for sharing the memory.
