Sunflower Card

Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Our creative Chrissy is hosting this week's Little Red Wagon challenge and she's looking for flowers. Whether your project has hand-created flowers or store bought flowers, we'd love to have you join our Linky lineup!

I recently purchased a sunflower die set for just under $2 CDN. They cut beautifully! I was inspired by the layout used by Donna in last week's Little Red Wagon challenge so used it for my sunflowers. I cut several layers for each of the three flowers and added a bit of orange ink to the yellow. The mat and oval are both cut from My Favorite Things dies and I embossed the back mat with a distressed brick folder from Tim Holtz. The hello is also from MFT (I believe).

Now it's time for you to head over to Little Red Wagon . Check out the DT flower projects and then link up one of your own!

Beautiful card, Kate! I love that we both used sunflowers but made very different cards. (:

Oh, wowsa!!! These are gorgeous, Kate! This is such a pretty card. Don't you love it when you get an inexpensive die and it cuts so well?! I like how you did the layering and placement. They look so real I want to gather them up and stick them in a vase.

So sorry to miss last week, but so glad Iʻve made it over to see this beauty! Love these sunflowers, they take me back to my homeland.
