It's Chrissy's turn to host our latest Little Red Wagon challenge and she's chosen the theme "Smell the Roses"- or any sort of flower. We were actually supposed to use spring flowers or use flowers to celebrate spring in some way but, unfortunately, I did not read carefully enough until I went to post my card. Fortunately, the Little Red Wagon Girlfriends are amazing people as when I explained the situation and indicated that I would make a card tomorrow (which is now today by the time this post is published!), I was encouraged to post my creation. In fact, Brenda, who hails from Hawaii, let me know that all kinds of flowers bloom all year round in Hawaii - so I'll just say this is a Hawaiian spring card! I'm actually not even sure what sort of flowers these are on my card. Perhaps they are also blooming in other parts of the world this spring!!

The stamp used to create my flowers is called "Fine-Lined Floral". I heat embossed the stamped image and then sponged shades of blue over top. I then took some of the darkest blue and went over parts of the flowers and also stamped the "you" before splashing drops of the same colour over the inked portion of the mat. I used navy cardstock for the back mat as well as the sentiment strip.
Please head over to Little Red Wagon to "Smell the Roses" and all the other flowers there. We'd love to have you join our challenge too!

I will be linking up my card in this week's Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
