Chocolate Pouches

Saturday, November 23, 2013
Happy Saturday! I'm pleased to be sharing a project over at My Craft Spot today - and am sharing it here on my blog too!  These little sour cream containers are so quick and easy to put together and make a wonderful alternative to a bow on a gift.  I've also made a number of pouches to put on my colleagues desks as a special Christmas treat - with Lindt chocolate balls tucked inside.  (Of course, I always sample them to be sure they're good... and they are!!  Still, perhaps I should try another just to be certain.)

To put these pouches together, I used patterned paper cut to 6x6.  (Click HERE for a tutorial on how to make these pouches.)  I used My Craft Spot's Jingle All the Way stamp set for my Merriest Wishes sentiment.  The tags and scalloped shadows were then punched with Stampin' Up punches.  The little stamped candy cane is from the same set.  So cute!

To finish things off, I used Peppermint Stick baker's twine tied in a bow.  Easy peasy and a delight to give and receive!

Be sure to check out the My Craft Spot shop HERE.  There are 14 different Christmas stamp sets from which you can choose!

I've been wondering whether or not to add the Silhouette Cameo to my Christmas wish list.  I've seen so many amazing projects created with the Silhouette so am really starting to feel I "need" one!!  My talented friend, Linda, has a Silhouette giveaway going on over at her wonderful blog, The Paper Boutique.  I've got my fingers crossed - but I'd also be excited if you entered and won too!

I'm moving my desk right next to yours, lol. I love Lindt chocolates and repeated sampling is a must, now I've never had a bad one, but better safe than sorry ;) Very cute little packages, especially love the candy cane twine, so festive! Silhouette Cameo's are on for Black Friday at Michael's for $229 I think, tell Santa so that he can shop early for you!

Hmmm sour cream pouches. I didn't know that's what they were called but they make a great little candy holder. I won one of Linda's giveaways, but the Silhouette Portrait, not the Cameo. I haven't learned to use it yet. I tried it once and the outcome wasn't that great and I've never gone back to it. If you get one I'll expect you to inspire me. (wink)

Kate... I know what you mean by investing so much in your cricut.... I too did the same thing and have well over 260 Cartridges..... Geez... I can't believe I typed that! LOL But now I just let my friends barrow my cartridges... they don't have to purchase them and my cartridges get some use.... even the ones I never used either! :o)It's so worth it to get that Cameo.... Let's hope you get one! :o)
