Pumpkin Spice to my Latte

Wednesday, October 27, 2021
It's the wonderful Janice's turn to host our latest Little Red Wagon challenge and she's calling Outside! Jan is looking for any and all creations dealing with the great outdoors, animals in their natural habitat, weather, scenery, etc.

I have spent a great deal of time outdoors this month. In fact, I've been away every weekend! It's a bit much given how busy work has been although the time away has been fantastic and has provided a much-needed break. I've been camping, to two retreats at two different camps up north and took the past two days off work as vacation days in order to spend time further up north to go hiking. It's been quite a month! November will be busy with the Christmas countdown on, but I'll be home more which will be nice as well.

One of my favourite treats on a cool day this time of year is a pumpkin spice latte. I've had the MFT Sweater Weather stamp sets for a while now (and have inked them up in the past) and thought this challenge would be a perfect opportunity to pull them out. I'm not so sure that a polar bear sporting a cardigan while sipping on a pumpkin spice latte surrounded by a buffalo check sky background would be considered a natural habitat so I'm hoping that Jan looks past those creative liberties and notices the snowdrift and birch trees! I saw a similar card layout on the MFT website so need to give credit for that.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the Girlfriends' Outside creations - and then link up your own projects!

There's Nothing Foxier

Wednesday, January 29, 2020
"Ah man!" is this week's theme for our latest Little Red Wagon challenge. Jan is our hostess and it's not so much that she's upset that something unfortunate happened as she's asking to see our masculine projects.

For me, masculine projects mean clean and simple - so that's what I did. I decided to use the sentiment that I did as I remember always trying to get my husband to wear a nice sweater. He preferred shirts for work and t-shirts for home - but I told him he looked quite handsome when he would wear a sweater. He would have laughed at this card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what masculine projects the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then make and link your own project for the challenge!

I've Been Moose-ing You

Wednesday, October 23, 2019
I'm thrilled to be hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon. I've chosen the theme "Don't forget about me" and am looking to see any sort of farewell, bon voyage, missing you, happy retirement, good luck with your move, see you later, etc. type creations.

I used MFT's Sweater Weather in the Woods stamp set for my card. I missed out on buying the stamp set when it was first released and had to wait - which was tough as I had fallen in love with the moose image! It finally came available and I'm happy the moose has joined my family.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Don't forget about me" project! I can't wait to see what you create!
