Joyful Reindeer Gift Bag

Wednesday, December 20, 2017
Five days!! I can't believe that it's December 20 already! The days have been flying by.

As most of you know, this year has been an incredibly difficult one with the passing of my beloved husband. I am one who celebrates and thrives on tradition so was dreading the holidays and couldn't imagine how I'd get through Christmas. As a result, we've decided to do something totally different this year and we're heading off today for a cruise to the Bahamas! It will be a Christmas like no other but I think that's a good thing right now. I've still been baking (although scaled down this year) and have stockings and gifts that we'll exchange when we get back. I'm also looking forward to sun and heat!

This week's Little Red Wagon challenge is hosted by Sandy and it's called "It's a Wrap!" Sandy wants us to either create something with wrapping paper or a gift. I've created a little gift bag. After I took the photo, I realized that my paper is upside-down - and I'm pretty sure it was upside-down the last time I used it! Perhaps I was standing on my head the first time I ever saw a candy cane...

This will be my last post before Christmas and I wish you all a very happy holiday filled with love, peace and blessings.

Deck the Halls

Wednesday, December 13, 2017
Only 12 days until Christmas!! I can't believe that we're pretty much halfway through December already. With the exception of some baking, I feel all set at this point.

I'm excited to be hosting at Little Red Wagon this week - although I messed up on my schedule and didn't realize until Monday night when I went to create this week's post. It was then that I realized I missed my own challenge so spent last night in my craft room!!! Unfortunately, it was dark by the time I took the photo. In fact, it was dark by the time I even started creating my card!! It was fun to have an extra night colouring though!!

My challenge is "Christmas Critters" and I'm challenging everybody to create a project with some Christmas critters. I used Gerda Steiner's Reindeer and a Tree stamp set to create my little Christmas scene with Santa and a few of his favourite critters.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created this week. And please link up your own Christmas Critters creations. I can't wait to see what you make!

I'm linking up my card at Gerda Steiner's monthly Share Your Designs challenge. In fact, I purchased the Deck the Halls stamp set from my winning the challenge at Gerda Steiner a few months ago!

Season for Treats

Wednesday, December 6, 2017
Happy December! I can't believe it's the 6th already. The house is decorated and I've started my baking - but gifts are stacked in the closet and I need to get wrapping!

Sandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon and she is looking for gift card holders. I do purchase gift cards for some of my nieces so this challenge was a good one for me. I used an old die from my stash for the holder itself and then decorated it with stamps from My Favorite Things (including a several heat-embossed snowflakes) and a Holly Jolly sentiment from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

I'm looking forward to getting ideas for more gift card holder creations so can't wait to check out what the rest of the Girlfriends have been making. Please head to Little Red Wagon to check things out too - and then link up your own gift card holder!

I'm also linking this up at Simon Says Stamp for their "Gift It" challenge.

Happiness Is...

Wednesday, November 29, 2017
We're having a "Foodie!" challenge at Little Red Wagon this week. Brenda is our hostess and she wants to see us using food or drink on our projects. I decided to use both!

The sweet little coffee cups and donuts are a stamp from Lil' Inkers which I combined with a sentiment from My Favorite Things' Coffee Break sentiment stamp set. The Silly Stitched dies are also from
Lil' Inkers.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created and then feed your appetite with your own Foodie projects!

I'm also entering my card in this week's Anything Goes Challenge at Simon Says Stamp.

Ski-sons Greetings

Wednesday, November 22, 2017

Jan is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's got a fun little sketch for us. I'm thinking that I should have used ribbon instead of twine for the band around the middle - but otherwise, I stuck to the sketch fairly well. Every time I use a sketch, I tell myself that I should use them more often. They really help reduce the smoke that spews from my ears from overthinking a card design!!

I was so, so excited to learn that I'd won a $75US voucher to My Favorite Things in their most recent release and picked up a few fun new products - including the Ski-sons Greetings polar bear set. I inked up one of the stamps for my card.

Please head over to
Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then use the sketch for your own creation!

Joy to the World

Wednesday, November 15, 2017
Heather is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week, and she's chosen the theme Penguins or Polar Bears - or both! Last Christmas, I received an add-on stamp from my son's sweet girlfriend so I decided to use the stamp to create her Christmas card for this year.

The stamp-edge die used to cut the frame was another gift and I'm not sure where it's from. The "joy" die is from My Favorite Things and the "Joy to the World" is from My Craft Spot. The snowflakes are dies from My Craft Spot with a bit of Wink of Stella added for some glittery fun.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to enjoy the rest of the penguins and polar bears on display! Then link up your own creation to join the fun!

YNS Design Team Dare - Christmas Colour Combo

It's time for the monthly Your Next Stamp Design Team Dare!! As I'm guest designing this month, I was dared to create a project with a favourite Christmas colour combination. I love a variety of Christmas colours, but this year, I've really been taken with blue/turquoise with red and white - so that's what I went with!

I used the NEW Tweet Love Birds stamp set and die as the focal point of my card. I coloured the birds using a few shades of blue and layered them over an embossed snowflake panel. The frame and ornaments, as well as the mistletoe, have some Wink of Stella added for some sparkly cheer. I also added some of the NEW Merry and Bright Glittered Gumdrops for even more sparkle!

Please head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to see the rest of the Christmas Colour Combo creations. Leave a comment while you're there for a chance to win the stamp set of your choice!

So Joyful - Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop

Saturday, November 11, 2017

Yay!! It's time for the Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop! I'm so thrilled to have been invited to join the fun - and excited that YOU can join in too! Follow the links below to visit other YNS crafters and leave comments along the way for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp store. The more comments you leave, the more chances you'll have to win!

Last month, I fell in love with the Tweet Holiday stamp set and its darling little birds. Imagine my delight when I opened my November New Release package to find another two stamp sets (with dies!) in the "Tweet" collection!! I used them both right away, with one set to show now and the other to share later in the week. They're perfect for Christmas and winter-themed projects of all kinds!

As I'm behind on my Christmas card creations this year, I decided to create a card with the NEW Tweet Kindness stamp set and dies. I first created a subtle snowy background by stamping some snowflakes with Versamark and using a glitter embossing powder before blending some Tumbled Glass distress ink. After framing my bird in the die-cut panel, I added some of the NEW Merry and Bright Glittered Gumdrops inside some of the snowflakes for some wintery sparkle. I finished everything off with a sentiment (also from the NEW Tweet Kindness stamp set) stamped on a tab from Your Next Stamp's Cute Little Shopping Bag die set.

As always, Karen has a fabulous sale to celebrate the new release! Use the coupon code below to save on your
Your Next Stamp purchase!

Don't forget to leave a comment before you head off - and then check out the rest of the designers' projects for more inspiration! You have until November 14 at midnight to leave comments for a chance to win the $25 gift certificate to the YNS store.

Your Next Stamp New Release Preview

I'm thrilled to be a guest designer at Your Next Stamp again this month! This means that I've had a chance to play with some of the fabulous new products. I was so, so excited to see there are more "Tweet Birds" (and will show off one of the sets during this evening's blog hop).

I decided to use the FUN new Merry Mouse Joyful Greetings stamp set and dies to create a gift card holder. I can never have too many of those!! Each image in this stamp set has a sweet little mouse spreading Christmas joy in some way. I added some of the NEW Merry and Bright Glittered Gumdrops to add a bit more festive fun to my gift card holder.

And here's the inside! There's a little slit in which to tuck a gift card behind the little mouse adding a star to his tree.

Be sure to come back this evening for the Your Next Stamp blog hop! It starts at 10pm EST - which is when all the new products will be available for purchase too!

Sending You Love and Blessings

Wednesday, November 8, 2017
It's Wednesday! For the past few weeks, I've been getting the days mixed up and end up doing Thursday twice each week (given that I keep thinking that Wednesdays are Thursdays). Hopefully, I get it right this week!

Sandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon and she's got a fun challenge for us: Harvest Time. We've had a warmer-than-typical fall so harvest has been a bit late for us and I'm still seeing lots of fall decor about. This challenge gave me the opportunity to use a new Gerda Steiner stamp set that I recently won. The mice on the set are adorable!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created, and then link up your own Harvest Time projects!

I'll love you OWL-ways

Wednesday, November 1, 2017
It's my turn to host at Little Red Wagon and I've chosen the theme "Owl about me" - use an owl or a bird on your project.

I've had an owl die in my craft room for quite some time now. It came free with a cardmaking magazine, but I had yet to use it - until now! I used the owl die - as well as a Stampin' Up die for the branch - for my card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own owl/bird project!

Furry and Bright

Wednesday, October 25, 2017
Jan is hosting at Little Red Wagon this week and she wants to know "What's red all over?". In other words, she's looking for red all over our projects! Now, I have a confession to make... I was preparing my post during my break at work yesterday when I realized that my card was actually for a challenge in about a month's time! I didn't think I'd be able to post anything today but when I got home from work last night, I got my son settled with some leftovers for supper and then raced to my craft room before leaving for an evening workshop. When I got home, my son was fast asleep but I was delighted to find that he had emptied the dishwasher. I think I did something right raising that boy!!

I just received the Happy Pawlidays stamp set and I'm in love with the little pups! I used one of the stamps for my card - with one of the fun little sentiments to go with it.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon so you can see red too - and then get out your red cardstock, pens and markers to create your own project with red!

I'm linking up my card with Simon Says Stamp's Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Christmas Tags

Wednesday, October 18, 2017
Brenda is hosting at Little Red Wagon and she has told us all to shape up!! No need for concern as we're not being reprimanded. She just doesn't want to see the usual rectangles and squares for our projects.

With Christmas approaching rather quickly, I decided to create a set of tags. I've been so busy lately that it was quite a treat to sit and colour my little images from Your Next Stamp. And I hope I've made Brenda happy by avoiding rectangles and squares!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Shape Up" projects.

Everything Will Be Okay

Wednesday, October 11, 2017
Jan is hosting at Little Red Wagon again this week, and she'd like to see our leftovers! We've been invited to either post a project that was made for a previous event but not posted, or a project created with scraps. I decided to post a project that I made earlier this year but did not post.

As many of you know, I lost my husband earlier this year. While dealing with his illness, I was reassured that I would be okay - and that everything would be okay. This does not mean that everything would be good. In fact, everything was awful, horrible and terrifying. But I held on to the promise that God was with us and that everything, in the end, would be okay. And even though we continue to grieve, and even though everything has changed and is nothing at all like it should be, everything is okay. We are blessed with the support of so many that I can face each new day - even when I don't know how I'll find the strength to manage. If you look closely, you'll see that I added my name to the top line, although chose to keep it in black ink so it wouldn't stand out too much.

I found the idea for my project on Pinterest and followed the link to a post created by another Kate (found HERE).  I created my art digitally and purchased a frame from HomeSense - my favourite store!! My art is sitting on the table by my front entrance so each day, as I'm heading out and as I'm coming back in, I am reminded that everything will be okay. The card beside the frame is the memorial card that we handed out at my husband's Celebration of Life.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what leftovers the rest of the Girlfriends have posted - and then link up your own projects for the challenge!

I'm also going to link up my project in this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Not a Card.

'Tis the Season to Be Jolly

As guest designer at Your Next Stamp this month, I had a fun time playing along with the DT Dare: Be Merry! The dancing reindeer in the NEW Be Jolly stamp set is probably as merry as they come!

I used my Copics to colour the reindeer - and gave him a red nose like Rudolph! There is a die set that comes with the
Be Jolly set, but I don't have it so I finally pulled out my ScanNCut to give it a go. Once I figured out that it's best to use the colour settings (even when just cutting black outline images), it worked like a charm.

I popped my reindeer on top of a die cut from the largest of the Stick Frame Die set. I actually cut it twice - once from white cardstock and the second from Mambi patterned paper (no longer available) and then puzzle-pieced the bits together.

The sentiment is from the
NEW Be Jolly stamp set too.

Please head over to the Your Next Stamp blog to comment on all the jolly creations posted there. One comment left of the YNS blog will be chosen and the winner can choose the stamp set of their choice from the YNS store. Comments must be left by October 13 at midnight EST and the winner will be announced on October 15. Good luck!

From All of Us - YNS Blog Hop!!

Saturday, October 7, 2017
http://yournextstamp.com/

It's time for the October Your Next Stamp New Release Blog Hop!! I'm so thrilled to be taking part and have had such a wonderful time in my craft room using the NEW Your Next Stamp products. There are so many fabulous goodies coming out!! I think my favourite product is the stamp set I used below - but I'm also in love with the Pine Tree Branch die (that I used this morning) and a super fun stamp set called Be Jolly with the most hilarious reindeer that is guaranteed to bring smiles. This release is perfect for all your Christmas card creations!

There are lots of incredible projects in this blog hop - all of which showcase the fantastic
NEW Your Next Stamp October Release products. Be sure to check things out and leave comments along the way! One lucky hopper will win a $25 gift certificate to the Your Next Stamp store! The more comments you leave, the greater your chances are at winning! (You don't need to leave a comment at every blog to qualify.)

Today, I created a card using the
NEW Tweet Holiday stamp set. As soon as I saw the set, I was totally smitten with the sweet trio of birds. I used my Copics to colour them up and love how they look with their fun little hats!!

I finished things off by adding a few NEW Vintage Holiday Gumdrops. They are a lovely complement to the berries on the branch. There are six different colours of Gumdrops in the set - and two of those colours are different shades of red which is fabulous for matching with your papers!

Jingle All the Way! - YNS October Preview

I'm delighted to be part of the Your Next Stamp October Release! Karen sent me a fabulous envelope of goodies and I'm excited to showcase some of the new products - all of which will be available in the store tonight!

For this card, I used the NEW Jingle All the Way stamp set! This set includes a large sentiment, a set of bells and a bow. I heat-embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder.

I also used the NEW Pine Tree Branch die. I just LOVE this die! It's cuts so wonderfully well and the branch is designed so that you can cut off parts to tuck in to parts of your project if you need smaller branches. In fact, I did that on my project for a bit of added dimension. I finished things off with some NEW Vintage Holiday Gumdrops - used as berries and on the sentiment itself!

Be sure to come back this evening for the Your Next Stamp blog hop! It starts at 10pm EST - which is when all the new products will be available for purchase too!

Hugs

Wednesday, October 4, 2017
Although the world is full of beautiful autumn colours here, our attention this week at Little Red Wagon is on the traditional and elegant black and white! Jan is our hostess and she's eager to see what we can do with black and white - and ONLY black and white!

I put my new Flora and Fauna tree dies to work to create my card. Given that I simply used cardstock and dies, this card came together very quickly!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the black and white projects created by the Girlfriends - and then link up a project of your own!

Thanks so much!

Wednesday, September 27, 2017
It has been unseasonably warm here in Central Ontario and I've even had the air conditioner back on!! I've been waiting until later evening to walk the dog and it's still be incredibly hot and humid. I love the heat and prefer this over snow any day!

Sandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's challenging us to include both a house and a heart on our projects. I used my Zig markers to colour the homes and I then masked things to create the stenciled background.

Please join us at Little Red Wagon with your own house and heart projects!!

Autumn Leaves

Wednesday, September 20, 2017
It's my turn to host at Little Red Wagon this week and I've chosen the theme "Leaf It to Me" - include leaves on your projects.

With the leaves beginning to change colour here, my thoughts went to fall leaves. I used some distress ink, vellum and heat embossing to create my card with a sentiment from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The little mouse is one of the first clear stamp images that I ever purchased. He's so sweet!!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then make your own leafy project to link up! I can't wait to see your creations!

On the Loss of Your Furry Friend

Wednesday, September 13, 2017
Another week has flown by. I'm so happy to be back at work as I love my job - but I am exhausted! This is such a busy time of year with all the new first year students doing intakes.

Jan is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week, and she wants us to "Distress It" - use distress inks or other distress products on your projects. Unfortunately, last month, our department's support dog passed away. Whisper was a wonderful part of our accessibility team and she was such a calming influence on so many. I made this card for Whisper's companion (who is also our Office Administrator).

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Girlfriends' projects - and then link up your own distressed creation!

Eek!

Wednesday, September 6, 2017
Anybody else think it's Tuesday today? Here in Canada, we celebrated Labour Day on Monday so had an extra day off this past weekend. It's thrown me off - although I am certainly not complaining!

Brenda is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's curious about our backgrounds - our project backgrounds, that is. Brenda has challenged us to create our own backgrounds.

For my card, I started by stamping and heat embossing a large web stamp that I've had (sitting unused) in my supply cupboard for years. I figured that it was time to pull it out. Once stamped, I then used a variety of distress inks to finish the background. The little mummy is from Your Next Stamp. He's so cute!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the fabulous backgrounds created by the rest of the Girlfriends - and then get out your crafting supplies to create your own background!

I'm also entering my card in the latest Your Next Stamp sketch challenge (Challenge #72). I flipped the sketch upside down to work with my scene.

The Hero Arts spider web cling stamp that I used for my background seems to be out of production. The little bats are dies from My Craft Spot (no longer in business).

Happy Birthday 2 Ewe

Wednesday, August 30, 2017
Jan is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she'd like to see hybrid cards. This means that we are to use both digital elements as well as clear stamps. I've done some digital work in the past but generally stick to "in my hand" products so this was a great opportunity for me to stretch myself. Although my card is quite a simple one, it took ages to create. I must admit that much of the time was spent chatting with my daughter and getting sidetracked online as we sat with our laptops at the kitchen island while I tried to figure out the digital aspect of my project!!

My sweet little goddaughter recently celebrated her second birthday and I created this card just for her. I used a digital background from Kate Hadfield Designs and created my own digital stamp sentiment. After printing things off, I stamped, coloured and die cut some little sheep to adhere over the background. I used some of the left over digital background to stamp the hat and balloon and fussy cut those to add to the sheep.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own hybrid projects!

Koalafied for a Coffee

Wednesday, August 23, 2017
Welcome to Wednesday and our latest challenge at Little Red Wagon. Heather is our hostess this week and she's challenging us to "Sip It!" - include a beverage on your project. With it being summer, I first considered something with a cold drink but ended up with coffee. Although I'm not really a coffee drinker (just Starbucks' lattes!), most of my friends are and I'll be giving this card to one of them.

I received some Claritystamp stencil brushes a couple of months ago and finally gave them a go. I understand the hype as they work so smoothly with stencils!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Sip It!" project.

I'm also entering my card in the latest Share Your Design Challenge at Gerda Steiner.

You Are My World

Wednesday, August 16, 2017
Sandy is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's chosen the theme "Bow and Arrow" for us. You can use either a bow or an arrow - or both - on your projects!

I looked through my crafting supplies and decided to go with an arrow. I used a Hero Arts stamp set that I won in a Simon Says Stamp grab bag to create my card. The images and sentiment are heat embossed and stand out quite nicely in real life. My daughter's boyfriend is a geography major so I think I'll give the card to Erin to give to him.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what Sandy and the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own Bow and Arrow project!

Go Flourish

Wednesday, August 9, 2017
It's time for a new Little Red Wagon challenge and I'm the hostess this week. My son and I have been enjoying time outdoors (when it hasn't been raining) and trying to identify the various bugs that we find - so I decided that "Bugs and Slugs" would be this week's Little Red Wagon challenge!

I used the pretty "Butterfly Jar" stamp set from Flora and Fauna for my card, heat embossing the butterflies with sparkly embossing powder on both the card base and the distressed panel. The card is 5"x5" instead of my usual A2 size.

My card is quite a bit different from my original idea - cute little ladybirds and bees! I'm happy with the way things turned out though, and have a special person in mind for this card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own "Bugs and Slugs" creations. I can't wait to see what you make!

The little banner for the sentiment is cut from a die from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The card base is made with Stampin' Up's Naturals White cardstock.

Ap'parrot'ly, It's Your Birthday

Wednesday, August 2, 2017
Thank you all so incredibly much for your cards and messages following the passing of my husband in June. The past weeks have been incredibly difficult. Although I am surrounded with amazing support, my broken heart grieves. I told myself that I would do my best to resume crafting in August - so here I am with the latest Little Red Wagon challenge! I'd like to offer a special thanks to my LRW Girlfriends who have been so kind, patient and understanding during my time off.

Mandy is our hostess this week and she's asked us to use products from our favourite companies! My Craft Spot is still a favourite of mine, so I used some jute from Kimberly. I am also quite partial to Your Next Stamp - a Canadian company! I used their fun Parrot-ise stamp set as a focal point for my card. And I recently discovered Studio Katia, another Canadian company, so used one of their dies to cut the coloured vellum for my embossed background.

My middle guy celebrates a birthday next week. He loves birds and has a few of his own - including a green-cheeked conure parrot, so I decided that this image would be perfect for his card!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and to link up your own project using your favourite supplies!

I also used orange jute string from My Craft Spot (retired), a basket weave embossing folder, and a postage die from unknown origins!

Meow Meow Meow

Wednesday, June 14, 2017
It's time for a new challenge at Little Red Wagon and our Hostess, Jan, is asking "Dogs or cats?" This gives you the perfect opportunity to break out your dog and cat stamps, dies, stickers, etc., to create a project with either dogs or cats - or both!

I used my free May 2017 Crafts Beautiful stamp set to create my card. Time was limited, so I kept things pretty simple. The stamp set has a selection of both dogs and cats, and although we have both kinds living in our home (as well as birds!), I decided to go with cats for my card.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then link up your own dog or cat creation!

Hello Mandala

Wednesday, June 7, 2017
This is an active week at Little Red Wagon. Brenda is our hostess, and she'd like to see us Move It. (Are you now singing the song from Madagascar? I've never seen the movie, but I know the song!) For this week's challenge, we're asking you to include something that moves on your creation - from sliders to shakers, wobblers and pop-ups. Include an interactive element to your project and you're good to go!

I recently discovered a new Canadian stamp company, Studio Katia. I used their Mandala stamp for my card, stamping off the card in each of the four corners using Versamark. I then heat embossed with sparkle embossing powder before adding distress inks. For a softer look to my shaker, I used vellum instead of transparency.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the "moving" creations by the design team. We'd love for you to link up your own project too!

I'm also entering this card in Simon Says Stamp's Work It Wednesday monthly challenge.

Lesia Zgharda Stamps Design Team Call

Wednesday, May 31, 2017
Today I have a bit of a different post than usual. It's an application for a Design Team position with Lesia Zgharda Stamps. I recently discovered LZ Stamps on Instagram and enjoyed looking through the account to see the variety of stamps available. When I saw their Daffodils (my favourite flower) Constructor set, I rushed to the shop to check things out and ended up ordering a few stamp sets. I was especially delighted to see the low cost of international shipping - just $3US! That was a huge selling point for me. The costs of the stamps themselves are more than reasonable too.

As part of the DT application, we are asked to share why we'd like to design for Lesia Zgharda Stamps. My first reason is a bit selfish... I miss being on a stamping design team and miss the friendships, inspiration from others and the joy and excitement that comes from being part of releases and promoting new (and established) products. I also like the "push" that I get to take time for myself, especially in this busy and stressful world. I'm a very responsible person who takes deadlines very seriously, so knowing that others are counting on me is a huge motivator to get inky! This makes "me" time a scheduled and prioritized time in my life. Also, with the short time I've been connected with LZ Stamps, communication has been positive and friendly. The store is well organized and the products are images and sentiments that I would use and promote. I'm active on my blog and on social media and love to share my creations online. I'm an optimistic and creative person who loves to travel and experience new cultures too - so being part of an international team is particularly appealing for me.

Here are five projects that I've created within the past five months that showcase some of my stamping techniques and styles.

Project #1: Hang in There
This project showcases the stamping and alcohol ink colouring of an image. I also stamped the sentiment on the clouds and created the shrubbery background using distress ink and distress oxide ink with "smooshing" and going over the background with leaf stamps to add to the effect.

Project #2: Never Stop Believing You are Awesome
This project showcases a background created with stamped stars which were heat-embossed with glitter embossing powder before inking my panel with distress inks. I stamped and coloured the unicorn with alcohol inks and also heat-embossed the stamped sentiment.

Project#3: Love You Mum
For this project, I heat-embossed the stamped image before colouring it in with watercolours and a brush. The sentiment is also stamped.

Project #4: Happy Fishy Wishes
With shakers and action cards being all the rage, I thought I should include one with my application! This card contains a few stamped images, coloured with alcohol markers, arranged to make a little shaker scene. I'm also including this card as the original post shows an example of my enthusiasm for taking part of a new release while guest designing for Your Next Stamp.

Project #5: Sending Love
This project demonstrates my ability to mask as I had to do a LOT of masking to create my stamped envelope background. The images were also stamped and coloured with alcohol markers and I heat embossed my stamped sentiment.

Thanks for reading through my application. Whether or not I'm selected for the Lesia Zgharda Stamps design team, you'll be seeing my daffodil card created with LZ Stamps in the near future!

Please see my right-hand menu bar for links to my social media accounts. I am especially active with Instagram and Pinterest.
