What a week! I had my final presentation to do in my course. It had to be pre-recorded - which actually made the process much longer than usual, but much less stressful during the actual presentation. I am now officially off school until the new year. Woo hoo! I loved my course though, and will miss it - as well as the instructor. I had the privilege of being taught by a visiting professor from the University of Leeds. I really enjoyed studying under her.
I made this card for my sister's birthday. My nickname for her is "Kami" - short for camel. (When we took a holiday to Egypt, I kept asking her to hold my things as I ran off to take photos. She made a joke that I thought she was my camel - and the nickname began!) I always find her things with a camel and make her cards with camels.
I cut the camel from Animal Kingdom and cut off its head - to replace it with one looking straight out. I attached the head with a handmade wobble spring. I used my Chomas gel pen holder to draw the face and added green pearls for eyes. The hat is from Doodlecharms and I added stickles to it. Patterned papers are g.c.d. The border and mini scallops were created with Stampin' Up punches and punched from the same paper as the mat. I added more pearls to the mini scallops and also attached a little bow.
