I created a fun little "I really miss you" card with a large die cut from MFT as my focal sentiment. The little critter (some sort of badger?!) is also from an MFT stamp set.
I was worried I wouldn't get to post this week's challenge. We were hit by the storm that raged through southern Ontario and Quebec over the weekend and were without power for a couple of days. Some of my family and friends are still without power. One of our large trees was uprooted in our back garden, breaking through the fence while its limbs hit our gazebo and part of the roof. Fortunately, nobody at our house was injured in any way. I keep reminding myself of this during the clean up!
Also last week, we adopted a two-year old stray. The humane society had given him the name Watts. Given his mannerly ways and intelligence (and because all our pets have names of significance, with each of the cats named after some sort of literary character), we have changed the name to Watson. (Think Dr. Watson from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes.) He has now made himself at home and is incredibly affectionate. It hasn't taken long to fall in love.
Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Girlfriends' creations - and then link up your own project with the sentiment as the main focus.

Love your large letter card Kate with it's lovely splatters? What an expressive face on Watson. Looks like he is in charge :)

Love your big cut-out sentiment! The little creature you added shoots it over the top of cuteness!

Goodness, that is one seriously eventful week. I am SO sorry about the tree that smashed through that fence and the ensuing headaches I'm sure it is causing you.
On a far more positive note, immense congratulations on the newest four-legged member of your family. What a beautiful, sweet-faced cutie pie. My heart is beaming with joy for you and all those in your household.
This is such a delightful card. I agree, there is some ambiguity as to what kind of critter that is. I definitely see a potential badger, though a skunk or even a koala also seem plausible to me.

So glad you all are OK, things can be replaced tho I know it is a hassle. Watson is adorable, I can certainly see how you love him already. As for your card, it is perfect. I love that large sentiment and your cute little critter.
Such a cute card, Kate! I love that big die cut sentiment.
That storm was wild! I was at my daughter's ball tournament when it hit and I, without a doubt, was the wettest I've ever been with clothes on. We were lucky, no damage there, none at home either. Sorry to hear it wasn't the same for you! I'm glad no one was hurt, and I hope the clean up is behind you now.
Watson is absolutely handsome! He reminds me of my Ollie. It's nice that you found an awesome name for him that both suits his personality and keeps a bit of his "original" name too. Ollie's name was Colonel and both my daughter and I decided we were gonna change it to something else as soon as we saw him. I'll stop hijacking your comment section now. (:
Super cute
