Friendships are the Best Ships of All

Monday, June 6, 2016
When I saw the latest sketch challenge (Challenge #40) at Your Next Stamp, I immediately envisioned a sunset scene with the Vacation Phoebe ship from Your Next Stamp. I coloured the ship in dark greys and black, as it would look passing in front of the bright setting sun. I used a number of different inks for the sun and waves, blending the inks and then spritzing water on both as well as a lighter blue spray of ink on the water.

The mat was cut using Simon Says Stamp stitched dies and the waves were cut using retired scalloped dies from My Craft Spot. I just turned them upside down to make waves!

Have a wonderful week!

I have a cruise coming up in two weeks. I shall be floating into the sunset just like this boat. Very nicely done!
