O Canada

We've had a busy couple of weeks, finally moving into our new home on the 19th. We love our house - and it's been fabulous to get all our items out of storage! We're still working on getting settled but, as we're on holidays now, we are able to get quite a bit done. My goodness, it's a LOT of work!

It's "Patriotic" week at My Craft Spot. As I am a proud Canadian, I created a card to celebrate Canada Day (July 1). I haven't done any unpacking or sorting in my craft room so it was a bit challenging to craft - but it was also very fun to take some time to craft!! I used the Lacy Banners metal die set for my pennants and the circles. The pennants themselves were stamped with a variety of stamps from the Pattern Blocks stamp set.  I then stamped each of the white circles with letters from the Chunky Alphabet stamp set.

Once the banner was complete, I used some red jute string along the top to finish things off.

For all those of you who are celebrating holidays this week, I hope you have a fabulous and safe time with family and friends! If you've created any projects to celebrate your nation, be sure to link them up at My Craft Spot for your chance to win this week's prize!

Great card Kate...Happy Canada Day for tomorrow! Our little community has a huge Canada Day weekend celebration but this year it has been a washout! We have had so much rain & high winds the last couple of weeks...it's awful. Some communities have declared a state of emergency! Enjoy your new home!

Beautiful card~

I hate moving so much. It's so exciting though to move into a new place and make it your own. As a military family, and as you know being a military brat. It's tough always trying to make what use to fit somewhere else fit in new home. Hope you will share pics. So excited for you. The one area I still don't have like I want (three years later) my craft area. I think I have thrown my hands up and given up. Ha!

Beautiful card Kate! Your did an amazing job representing Canada! LOVE it!

So glad things are going well for you and you found a house! Moving can be a lot of work to say the least. I am sure it will be worth the hard work once you are settled in and can enjoy it!
Big hugs my friend!
