Fall Leaves

Monday, September 19, 2011
It's time for another challenge at My Craft Spot!  This week, the theme is "Fall Leaves".  Here in central Ontario, the leaves are just starting to change colour - thanks to the cooler temperatures we have been having.
I created my little scene using Campin' Critters, adding some extra little leaves cut from Create a Critter.  The card base was created by welding a frame from Elegant Edges (with thanks to my husband for hitting almost every Michaels in the Greater Toronto Area with me in order to find this cartridge!) and George and Basic Shapes.  The banner is a parenthesis from Plantin' SchooolBook, with the ends cut with a punch from Creative Memories, and stamped with two stamps from My Craft Spot's Happy Fall set.  I did some inking and some drawing and then finished everything off with some glorious My Craft Spot marmalade crinkle ribbon.

If you haven't checked them out already, please head to My Craft Spot to see the other "Fall Leaves" projects created by the rest of the design team.  Then link your own project to be eligible for this week's prize!

(Also, just a heads-up that My Cut Search is celebrating their one-year blogiversary this week.  Later this week, they will be offering special promo codes in their "News" section.  My Cut Search is a great way to find specific Cricut cuts.  Be sure to check it out!)

Such a pretty card!!I do love my new floors, it was alot of hard work though(i helped my dad do it, taring out carpet and laying the new floors down, took about a week to do all three rooms) so worth it in the end though, my daughter and i have allergies so carpet was not good!! Hope you are enjoying the new school year!!

Awww! Kate, this is such a gorgeous card! I love the scene you have created. You are so creative! I have been trying to get my habds on Elegant Edges, too. I had to settle for a rain check from Micheals and hopefully they will get it in soon.

Have a fabulous day!

I like the card but even more I like the way you "staged" it. You must have a great place to photograph your cards.

Ah, another lovely job Kate. You are so consistent! Your work is always stellar. That is why I picked you for an award over at my blog. :0) Please come by and pick it up. It's about three or four posts down. You so deserve it. Your blog is one of the "coolest" I know! ;)

This is such a beautiful card!

You are so right about certain Cuttlebug folders always ripping the paper. For me, the herringbone one and the music one just did not work. I have started laying a piece of tissue or tissue paper under my paper in the folder. The embossing is not quite as deep and therefore tears less. Maybe I will do a mini-little tutorial on this.

You are so sweet and your projects are always fab! Your next province over neighbour, Tracey
