Be Strong and Courageous

Wednesday, September 24, 2025
It's my turn to host at Little Red Wagon again this week. Yippee! I'm still going strong with Elton John as my inspiration for 2025 and this week, the song is "I'm Still Standing". I'm looking for projects of encouragement - and you can interpret that however you would like!

I decided to do a scripture journal page. I haven't done one of these in ages and I always really enjoy it. The last few months, I have done a number of things outside my comfort zone in order to prove to myself that I am strong, brave and resilient and decided I should do a page about that.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the projects designed by the Girlfriends. I'd love for you to link up a project of your own too!

Falling for You

Wednesday, September 17, 2025
It's our wonderful Brenda's turn to host at Little Red Wagon and she's looking for slimline creations this week.

I pulled out a variety of products from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The sentiment, all dies, and twine are from My Craft Spot. The cardstock is from Stampin' Up. I've had all these products for a decade or two!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the slimline projects - and then link up one of your own!

Always Time for Tea

Wednesday, September 10, 2025
Our fabulous Jan is hosting this week's Little Red Wagon challenge and she continues to follow a Star Trek theme. This week, picture Picard requesting, Tea, Earl Grey, hot". Earl Grey is my favourite tea although I only drink decaf. Otherwise I find myself vacuuming at 2AM! I decided to go with an Earl Grey tea theme although the Earl Grey is in my head as the tea on my card could be anything, really, and most likely English Breakfast tea. The challenge is open to any hot drinks - so tea, coffee, lattes, hot chocolate, cider, etc.

Years ago, I purchased a UK crafting magazine with a Wallace and Gromit stamp set. I've only used the set once but knew this challenge would be the perfect excuse to pull it out again. I stamped and coloured Gromit and then attempted an ode to the almighty tea bag with my frame and hanging tag. The sentiment tag is from another free set-with-purchase from a UK magazine.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see how the rest of the Girlfriends interpreted the challenge. Then pour yourself a cuppa and create something to link!

Fancy Fold Card

Wednesday, September 3, 2025
The wonderfully creative Chrissy is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's looking for fancy folds. Whatever you're making with paper this week, just be sure it includes a fancy fold.

I made a pyramid card and used some brads and twine to hold it together. The little tag and heart were cut with dies from My Craft Spot (no longer in business). The card itself is assembled from a 4x8 piece of cardstock (with two 3.75x3.75 papers adhered on top) and a 4x4 piece of cardstock with another 3.75x3.75 piece of paper on top of that. The paper is probably about 15-20 years old - with most of the paper pack still intact!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see the rest of the Fancy Folds. We'd love for you to join the challenge too!
