Let's Cuddle

Thursday, February 27, 2020
Yesterday, I received an email from My Favorite Things which shared this week's sketch. As soon as I saw the sketch, I "saw" a card in my mind and knew exactly how I would interpret things. I decided that I would take advantage of a snowy night to have fun in my craft room!

For my card, I used a number of MFT products: A2 Stitched Rectangles dies (Set 1 and Set 2), Birch Trees dies, You Make My Heart Melt stamps, Let's Cuddle stamp, Mini Raindrops stencil and Extreme Black ink.

I'm entering this card in this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge - Challenge #478 and Simon's Says Stamp's Wednesday challenge - Anything Goes.

Happy Birthday to Youuuu!

Wednesday, February 26, 2020
It's balloon time at Little Red Wagon! This week's hostess is Doni and she'd like to see us use/add at least one balloon to our projects.

I recently purchased Birthday Buds especially for this challenge (as well as the fact that I'm completely smitten with the little mouse image in the set, although I didn't use it for this project). I did some masking which I haven't done for a while and really enjoyed the time I spent colouring. I need to colour more often - or even just sit and relax! I typically don't colour images until I need them and know there are some crafters that stamp lots of images, sit and colour and then have things ready to go when needed. Perhaps I should give that a go!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to check out the rest of the Girlfriends' projects - and then create something with a balloon so you can join this week's challenge too!

You Make My Heart Saur

Wednesday, February 19, 2020
Imke is our hostess at Little Red Wagon this week and she's challenging us to "Have a Heart". Imke would like to see a heart of any kind on our projects - from images and embellishments to hearts within a sentiment.

About a year ago, I purchased MFT's Cutieasaurus stamp set and don't think I'd used it yet. I've been trying to use more of my NBUS items - or items that have been hardly used. The little dinosaur image was perfect for this week's challenge with her little heart spots. I also added a few frosted heart embellishments to the card as well.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then "Have a Heart" as you join in our challenge too!

I'm Wild About You

Wednesday, February 12, 2020
Welcome to Wednesday and our latest challenge at Little Red Wagon - Wild One! It's my turn to host. Yay! This week, we're looking for any sort of wild animal - from lions and tigers and bears (oh my!) to racoons, skunks, mice and more. We'll even accept feral cats! If it's an animal and you can imagine it out in the wild, then link up your project here!

I decided to make a little set of Valentine's Day cards using lions. I thought the sentiment went nicely with the challenge theme too! Inside, the cards read "Valentine hugs".

Please be sure to check out the DT projects over at Little Red Wagon and then create your own "Wild One" papercrafts to link up. I can't wait to see what you create!

You're Awesome

Wednesday, February 5, 2020

Brenda is hosting this week's challenge at Little Red Wagon and she's chosen the theme "Aquarius" - anything to do with water in its liquid form. I don't really follow signs of the Zodiak so was oblivious to the fact that Aquarius is this month's sign. When my daughter asked about the theme and I told her, she filled me in! Either way, I had an idea in mind for my card and decided to use it.

I used a few different products from Your Next Stamp for my water-themed card. The stamp and corresponding dies are from the Sea Friends set and the fun panel is a die called Wave Panel. I included part of the negative cut from the panel in order to have the sentiment stand out - and to break up the blue sea and the blue sky. I finished things off with some clear droplet gems.

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created - and then create your own Aquarius project to join in the fun!
