Everything Stops for Tea

Imke is hosting this week's Little Red Wagon challenge and she's chosen the theme "Hot Drinks". I've been enjoying lots of teas lately and have even had a few mugs of hot chocolate. It's been quite cold here in Central Ontario (Canada)! I much prefer warm weather so do enjoy hot drinks when I'm feeling chilled.

I feel as though I cheated a bit with this project. This past two weeks been especially busy ones with little time for anything extra. Although I did end up doing some crafting on the weekend, those creations were needed for unexpected reasons and will be used in future challenges. For this gift card holder, I simply cut some patterned paper (from a set of papers that came free with a magazine) using a gift card holder die which I've had since my early crafting days. I then cut a couple of pieces from the coordinating paper and affixed them to the holder. In order to seem as though I was putting a bit more effort into things, I added a gumdrop to the holder flap! It was fun to be in my craftroom even though it wasn't for very long. I'm looking forward to things settling a bit next week as Monday is a holiday here and I've decided to take Tuesday off as well. Four day weekend!

Please head over to Little Red Wagon to see what the rest of the Girlfriends have created for the "Hot Drinks" challenge. We'd love to have you link up your own projects as well!

  3. Regardless of the effort factor, your card doesn't reveal it and turned out so fun. Sounds like you used some NBUS stuff too! I'm with Vicky, off for a cuppa and a little treat.

  6. This is such a lovely project, Kate. The Designpaper fits great. I also like to drink tea - especially in winter. I like green tea and roiboos.

  7. Just because it was easier doesn't mean it doesn't count...especially when it's as fabulous as this! Those papers are fantastic! Hope things have slowed down for you a bit and I hope you're having a wonderful Family Day. (:
