April Showers Bring May Flowers

This week's Simon Says Monday Challenge is "April Showers Bring May Flowers". I'm so excited for spring and the flowers that will soon (I hope!) be sprouting, so I decided to focus on the May flowers as I created my card for the challenge.

With the exception of the black banner (cut and stamped using retired My Craft Spot products), everything on my card started as white paper. I inked, stamped, coloured and cut to make my card - and had such a fun time doing it! I used a die cut from Reverse Confetti to mask areas of the sky to make my cloudy background. The sweet little flowers are from the newly released Gardening Phoebe set from Your Next Stamp. I've been playing with this set a lot. I'm so happy with it! The little sun is from Mama Elephant and the hills are cut with Lawn Fawn dies.

  7. I love what you did with this card! I really like the clear-cut look of the flowers and hills. And yet it is full of energy and life! That sky is especially amazing and I like how the sentiment is bold in black and white. You created such a wonderful scene and I'm so glad you shared it with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
