My Craft Spot Release Party - Day One

Welcome to Day One of the My Craft Spot stamp release party!!  I've been so excited about this release and the timing is perfect.  With a busy school year behind me, I've been able to enjoy some craft room time and am REALLY enjoying the new stamps and metal dies.  Today, each of the My Craft Spot design team members is showcasing projects created with the first of the new release stamp sets.  (Be sure to check out all the projects over at My Craft Spot.)

As soon as I saw the new stamp set, I knew I wanted to use the "Hot dog! You did it!" sentiment.  The hot dog and mustard images are from Fast Food and I used the mustard label for the fun sentiment.  The little banners above are cut from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tag metal dies and stamped with sentiments from My Craft Spot's Tiny Tags 2.  I finished things off with some Lemon Tart baker's twine - also from My Craft Spot.

I just have to share this story:  I have never, ever in my life asked for a hot dog.  (I have eaten them before, but they're not something I would ever request.) In fact, when I was younger, I refused to eat them.  I've never even made hot dogs for my children.  However, after making this card, I asked my husband to barbecue some hot dogs for supper!!  He thought my brain had been taken over by some sort of alien imposter!!  I did serve the hot dogs with a variety of salads though - and enjoyed the meal.

Be sure to come back tomorrow  to see more of the new release!  I'll be showcasing projects all week.  On Saturday, we'll have a blog hop with prizes along each stop of the way!  And Kimberly is offering prizes EVERY day over at My Craft Spot.  Be sure to leave her a comment there for your chance to win today's prize, the original Tiny Tags stamp set.

  2. This is so cute, Kate. I've made the hotdog before but never looked at the mustard bottle. The sentiment is perfect for it. I rarely eat hotdogs, either, but we had a cook out with friends last Friday and they tasted so good I had two.

  12. My dear friend, this card and your story brought such a big smile to my face! :o) Hehe. I've been super excited for this week and it is off to an amazing start! This new set looks like such fun to use and I love how you showcased it. The hot dug and mustard are so realistic and I love your tiny tag banner! It goes perfectly with the new sentiment. The background is so pretty, too. The design is lovely and the color lets the scene stand out beautifully. Marvelous as always, Kate! :o) (And thank you for your incredibly kind words. You are a treasure and I am so thankful for you.)

    Hugs and blessings!

  14. Yummy hot dog card. Hubby likes mustard. I call it yellow stuff an I'm a ketchup person so it's red stuff for me.
