My Craft Spot Release Party - Blog Hop!

Welcome to the My Craft Spot Release Party Blog Hop!!  Hopefully, you've just arrived from the incredibly talented Robin's blog - Robin's Creative Cottage.  After a week of sneak peeks, today is the day that all NEW releases will be revealed in their entirety - plus, each new item is now available for sale!  Be sure to stop at each blog along the way, for Kimberly has very generously offered a NEW product to be given away at EACH of the design team blogs.  How exciting!!

Here at Small Bits of Paper, I'll be giving away the
NEW Tasty Treats stamp set so, of course, I just had to make something with a tasty treat!  It's strawberry season here in Ontario so I upcycled a paper bag to create a little basket to hold some fresh Ontario strawberries.  (My boys were very cooperative to be sure I had some strawberries left for my basket!!)  To create the basket, I modified Lia Griffith's instructions found HERE.

I had lots of fun using a variety of My Craft Spot products for my basket's banner!  I began with the Tiny Doilies metal die set, cutting out a shadow, doily and white centre.  The shadow was stamped using the NEW Pattern Blocks stamp set.  For the top layer, I used the NEW Tasty Treats stamp set, stamping the sentiment in black and red ink.  (My "berry" is a bit too high as I stamped the red after stamping the black and was a little bit off.  The stamp itself is perfectly aligned!)  Isn't the font so fun?!

For the actual banner, I used Lacy Banners metal dies for the large (relatively speaking!) kraft pennant.  I stamped each one with a stamp from the NEW Pattern Blocks stamp set.  I used the NEW Tiny Banners and Toppers metal dies for the rest of the banner, with the white and green layers stamped with different stamps from Pattern Blocks.  I then cut out "yum" from the NEW Small Alphabet metal dies.  I finished everything off with a strawberry vine from Spellbinders (with the top layer of the vine removed) and some Holly Green baker's twine, available from My Craft Spot.  Two resized kebab sticks are holding everything up.

Don't forget to leave a comment below for your chance to win the NEW Tasty Treats stamp set.  You have until tomorrow (Sunday) at midnight EST to leave a comment.  I will select and announce the random winner on Monday. Here's what the lucky winner will be getting:

(Check out THIS post for lots of "Tasty Treats" inspiration!)

Your next stop along the way is the amazingly talented Heather at Houses Built of Cards

Below is a list of the full blog hop - and don't forget to check out the reveal of the entire NEW line of stamp sets and metal dies at My Craft Spot!
