Embossed Card and Gift Card Holder

This week at FCCB, the theme is "Emboss It!".  When I first got my Cuttlebug, I left it in the box for about 6 months before I decided to use it.  Once I opened it, there was no turning back.  I LOVE to emboss various elements of my paper crafts.

For this project, I used Paisley at 4 inches to cut the little outfit.  I embossed the white mat with a Cuttlebug Happy Birthday folder.  The dress was embossed with my Seeing Spots folder and the belt and straps with a butterfly folder from a die/emboss combo.  I punched some corners with an EK Success punch, added a flower and some gems and the card was finished.

I also used Paisley to make the gift card holder.  I did some manipulating in order to create the front panel, which I also embossed with Seeing Spots.  As the folder was not quite large enough for the pink panel, I used an SU border punch to create a strip in the middle.  The panel is adhered along the sides and bottom only, creating a pocket for a gift card.  I used a variety of punches to create little embellishments for the bag and also added some gems.

Head on over to Fantabulous Cricut.  You can use any type of embossing you like to enter this week's challenge.  Just remember that you must have a Cricut cut somewhere on your creation.

I'm also entering this at Two Scraptastic Gals where the challenge is to use Paisley.

  1. I can't believe you didn't use your Cuttlebug for the first 6 months! That sounds like me and my Gypsy. Your set is perfect. All the colors are great together. It is perfect for the warm weather that is coming.

  3. Kate - absolutely adorable. I am loving the dress and the little hanger, too cute. And the purse is perfect. Great job!

I was always a bit intimidated by the Cuttlebug as well. It took me quite some time to purchase one. Now I use it all the time.

  4. Oh my goodness, Kate - LOL! I did the same thing! My dh and the girls bought it for my birthday and it was a much coveted item, but then it sat on my craft desk IN THE BOX! I was soo intimidated by the poor thing but like you, once opened, it unleashed a crafting monster, lol. Oh the pages I got done!

This is bonkers cute!! Soooo creative and fun! Lovely colors! If I read it correct, this cartridge is Paisley? Wonderful!
