The past two weeks have flown by. Today's card is the first thing I've created in almost three weeks!! We've been ridiculously busy with some planned events and some unexpected ones so there has not really been time for crafting and blogging. (I have been trying to get to many blogs and apologize to those of you who have not seen me for a bit.) For the most part, life has been incredibly fun for us - with trips to Toronto to cheer on the Raptors, to watch a live musical performance (front row, centre!!), and to visit my sister. My youngest also took part in a Special Hockey International tournament which was an amazing experience for him. Life is good!
This week's challenge at My Craft Spot is "Strings and Things". We are challenging you to use string or twine on your creations.
I made this Easter card yesterday afternoon. It did feel good to be back in my craft room! I used Doodlecharms for the bunny and eggs and created the grass using a pair of fringe scissors from Martha Stewart. For the sky background, I used a Peachy Keen stamp. The bunny's ears and body were cut using George and Basic Shapes. I inked everything!
I used a sentiment from My Craft Spot's "Happy Easter" stamp set across the bottom of my card - and finished everything off with some lovely Spring Green baker's twine, also from My Craft Spot.
Please head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the design team has created - and to link up your own "Strings and Things" creation.
Kate, love this big bunny face! So fun!
ReplyDeleteYes, I can relate to "life" taking time away from crafting but it all good! Seems you had a bit of fun and that's what its all about!

ReplyDelete"Life" got in the way of my crafting lately, too! Priorities! :)
My sweet friend, I have been thinking about you so often! I'm glad to see you're doing well, with days bursting with so much joy. :o) You deserve every happiness, Kate! Your card is bursting with happiness and I love every inch of it! The bunny is precious and I love the eggs tucked behind the grass. :o) Sweet, whimsical, and a joy to see! :o)
ReplyDeleteThings are incredibly busy here too, which makes it hard to blog hop as often as I'd love to. You were so sweet to leave me so many comments, but I hope you know you can always just leave one when you get behind. :o) I know how long it takes to play blog catch-up... and I know you always see my sparkly projects in your email, anyway. :o) You are a blessing!
Happy Easter to you and your family, my sweet friend! I pray it is spent in His love. :o) Hugs and blessings!
What a sweet and adorable card! Love it!
