Last night, I created my second card for My Favorite Things' Camp Create. This time, the theme is "Sensational Sliders". I don't have any slider tools so had to get quite creative for this one! For the cut in my card, I used a small die from a bow and cut twice. I then used a large googly eye behind the bus and adhered it with a couple of square dimensionals, rubbing the sides so that they would lose their stickiness. My bus actually slides quite well!
I used my Zigs for a messy watercolour look. I did something similar for yesterday's card and was happy with the results so tried again. I'm usually all about staying in the lines!

Creative...I was trying to figure out how to do this challenge, but skipped it for now. I guess I need to go back and try! I found one pair of shorts...not as many as I wanted. I did see a really cute skort, but passed since I was focused on shorts. Might need to go back and try it on.
ReplyDeleteVery clever, Kate. I'm with you on 'inside the lines' but I really love the look of your houses.
ReplyDeleteLove the "artistic" look of the card and the bus slider is wonderful.

Love the "messy" watercolor look of this! Very smart with your googly eye innovation. Love your card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a bright, happy little scene you have created! I love the look you achieved with your watercoloring. I tend to struggle so much with the "messy" look. I love the way it looks when other people do it, but not so much when I do it...sigh. This is really fabulous!
