My Craft Spot Colour Challenge

Monday, October 21, 2013
It's been quite a busy couple of weeks.  We're packing for an upcoming move (please see the end of this post for more information) and that's a LOT of work!!  My middle guy and I were quite sick too.  (Nothing serious but no fun at all!)  Anyway, we've survived and things are looking up!

We're having a colour challenge at My Craft Spot this week.  As it's my mum's birthday tomorrow, I decided to use the opportunity to create a birthday card for her.

I used a couple of Cuttlebug folders to emboss the mats on my card and used a Martha Stewart lacy border too.  The little green "lace" tabs were created with My Craft Spot's Tiny Banners and Toppers metal dies.  The larger flower is from Flower Shoppe and the little ones were created with punches.  (The tiny leaves were also created with My Craft Spot's Tiny Banners and Toppers metal dies.) I added pearls to the centre of each of the flowers.

The sentiment and flourishes are from My Craft Spot's Tickets stamp set and Postage Stamps stamp set.  I stamped them on a tag from a Stampin' Up set.  I finished everything off with some Vanilla Bean crinkle ribbon - also from My Craft Spot

Please head over to My Craft Spot to see what the rest of the design team has come up with - and then enter your own project for a chance to win this week's prize.

Don't forget that the newest My Craft Spot Release Party starts next Monday.  Woo hoo!  There are 5 NEW stamp sets and 3 NEW sets of metal dies.  I LOVE the new release, and I'm sure you will too!  Head to Kimberly's post HERE for more details (and a chance to win an early prize)!

At the end of August, we sold our house in order to move to a place with a pool.  Unfortunately, nothing suitable has come on the market since then.  We gave ourselves a long closing date, but that date is drawing close (November 15) and we don't have a new home!!  My mother has most graciously invited us to stay with her in the interim, but we do need to find a home of our own.  For those of you who say prayers, please offer one up that we will soon find a new house that meets our needs. Thank you!! I'll let you know when we've found a place.
